She was an angel
if you didn't look too deep
A home
for the lost and lonely
She was like kissing a monsoon
after a rain of double blacks
She enveloped
like Bali heat
She was like a dervish of black hair, tears and curses
as she screamed through the streets of Singapore
Like the other half of infinity
when we came together
She choked
like a belt.
She was like a map
for my wandering fingers
Like a full syringe
waiting to be squeezed
She burned,
like a petal
in flames.
