We have melted by the shore
by seas and quiet views
Your fingers on my neck
My eyes locked my shoes
I used to watch your eyes
Asleep like quiet reeds
As you dreamed of pandas
And old bamboo
It was all drawn out
All etched out
In blue
Now my fingers
Refuse to write
To write me something new
We have melted by the shore
Shimmering, silent shells
With wide and wounded eyes
Watching quietly.
