Perhaps writing, like any skill I suppose, is honed simply through practice? The ability to turn a sentence must be learned somehow, so why not through the simple act of creating one? Is powerful writing something that can be learned? Or is it something ornate.
A notion flitting across my mind recently is that of rhythm. Rhythm is important for guitar, for writing, and also for conversation. I want to work on my rhythm. Google time. Perhaps just usng a metronome will suffice.
